2010 Summary

14th January

What a year! I completed 2 feature films in 2010, The Ghost In The Machine & Desperate Measures, both of which are set for release in 2011. It’s no lie when you hear people talking about how much of a commitment working on a feature film is. I’m very proud of the films and looking forward to hearing people’s reactions to them. 2011 has got a lot to live up to…

Feature Film Confirmation

25th August

I got confirmation last week that I will be scoring my first feature film called ‘The Darkest Hour’. The film, written by Chris Green, will be directed by Steve Looker (Sacrifice). Filming begins on November 1st this year. I have a script in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other, so let’s go!

More updates about this coming soon.

UPDATE! NEWS!

25th June

Well Hello!

This is my first update for what seems an awful long time, and also my first blog post, so I will (try to) keep it brief…

Well the biggest news recently has to been the Limelight Film & Arts Awards, which happened down in London on May 21st. Sacrifice, directed by Steve Looker, which I scored back in June 2008, bagged the two awards it was nominated for; Best Drama and Best Film Of The Night. It was a surreal and amazing night, one I hope to have many more of. There’s a track up on my music page that is one of the cues from the film, here’s the link, just in case you want a listen www.philipcurran.com/mournful.html click on the track Brothers.

The month of May turned out to be quite a busy time all in all. I scored two short films from the Napier Film School. Dual, a dark psychological tale directed by Lewis Carmichael, and Cat Eats Dog, a comedy directed by Daniel Taylor. Cat Eats Dog got some media attention, as it featured the talented upcoming actress Ashley Lilly,  who starred in the 2008 hit Mama Mia! I’ve just uploaded two  tracks from Cat Eats Dog here www.philipcurran.com/comedy.html click on Bobo and Jerry In The Office. I had so much fun on both shorts and want to say a big well done to Lewis and Daniel for creating two brilliant films.
